Yuji Naka has joined Square Enix, working on a new game

Twitter is often the place for announcements to happen, and now industry Yuki Naka has announced via a tweet that he has joined Square Enix to go into game development, and that something is already in the works as we speak.

"Just a quick note to let you know, I joined Square Enix in January," he wrote. "I'm joining game development as before, and strive to develop games at Square Enix. I aim to develop an enjoyable game, please look forward to it."

Naka was the former head of the Sonic Team as well as lead programmer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog, but more recently he has worked as a producer on games like Rodea the Sky Soldier. What do you hope to see from him at Square Enix?
